United College è il Centro di Formazione Linguistica creato nel 1992 a Siracusa da Carolyn Davies.
Nell’arco di questo tempo l’esperienza, unita alla passione per quello che facciamo ed il confronto costante hanno permesso di tracciare un percorso linguistico che permetta allo studente, qualunque sia il suo livello di conoscenza della lingua, il tempo a disposizione o la sua età di essere seguito professionalmente fino al raggiungimento del suo obiettivo.
Il Centro di Formazione Linguistica ha sede da sempre nel ronco a Via Von Platen, area di grande passaggio pedonale ed automobilistico in quanto collega la parte alta della città con la zona archeologica ed il centro storico dell’isola di Ortigia. United College grazie alla sua location offre ad automobilisti e motociclisti e docenti internazionali ciclisti un ampio parcheggio gratuito a pochi passi dall’ingresso del Centro.
Carolyn set up United College in 1992 with the aim of becoming the best provider of language services in Siracusa. Over 30 years later the school holds an enviable position in the local community, providing language lessons, exam preparation and other services to businesses and families.

I docenti United College, tutti native speaker inglesi, spagnoli, russi, tedeschi, francesi, italiani o cinesi sono in possesso di una laurea e di una certificazione per l’insegnamento della loro lingua agli stranieri, sono selezionati e scelti personalmente da Carolyn Davies e dal DOS del Centro di formazione linguistica con la massima cura, dopo meticolose verifiche ed interviste. E’ uno staff internazionale disposto a condividere i presupposti del suo leader ed a confrontarsi costantemente attraverso una comunicazione serena e costruttiva.
Ogni insegnante segue gruppi di studio formati da un massimo di 8/10 studenti in un ambiente dinamico e con un approccio all’apprendimento diverso dal metodo scolastico tradizionale. United College punta molto sui corsi di conversazione che mirano a tenere viva la lingua e migliorare le capacità comunicative, la fluidità dello speaking e l’accuratezza del listening.
